So I thought I’d do another YouTube video for you guys. I thought a video about my my wardrobe and what my favourite pieces are., so I picked just a few items out on what I love the most… Enjoy!
So with pay-day finally on the horizon (10th June) I have put together a Wishlist of what I plan to buy when I get paid. All of it coming from ASOS, as everyone knows I always fall in love with ASOS. They always seem to have things I always want, both in the women’s section and the men’s.
1) Reclaimed Vintage Polka Dot Kimono In Mid Length. If you saw my previous post Favourite Outfits then you might have seen that I recently purchased and modeled a Tartan Kimono on one of my YouTube videos. Kimono’s are a very big thing at the moment and the perfect layer up to summer. This navy polka dot kimono is perfection, I love how long it is and how lightweight it is. Another piece of clothing I can wear and pretend to be a Disney Villain in.
2) ASOS Cotton Roll Neck Jumper. I love roll necks and I’ve always wanted to have a camel roll neck. I thought because of it being summer that roll necks would disappear but alas, ASOS have a whole range of roll necks in various colours. It looks lightweight so it would be perfect for the summer months.
3)Bomber Jacket. Bomber jackets for me have become a thing I’ve grown to love. To start with I didn’t really think bomber jackets were very nice and didn’t really suit me. However I purchased a floral bomber jacket from Zara and fell in love with them ever since. This white bomber jacket would add a define style to an outfit.
4)Felt Panama Fedora Hat. Fedora hats are my thing. A camel fedora is something I’ve wanted since last 2 winters ago, when I started to see them on the likes of ASOS and Topshop. Having a small head I have to buy women’s hats so this one from ASOS is perfect. Camel is an amazing colour and I love it so much.
5)Cape In Burgundy.Having two capes already I thought it was only time until I find another and fall in love. A burgundy colour which is so rich and winteresque. They are so lovely to wear and like I previously have said I love capes for the fact I can swoop around and be a Disney villain. They also are an alternative for a jacket or a coat which I love.
6) The WhitePepper Thread Tassel Cut Out Brogue Shoes. I love brogues, I love tasseled brogues, and I also love sandals. So put them altogether and you get these beautiful shoes. Yes, on the women’s section of ASOS, I just fell in love. I love the cut outs I think they’re a fun a cool idea. Along with the tasseled part of the shoes I just know I need to buy them.
7) Shirt In Cap Batwing Sleeve. Normally I don’t go for things like this because having skinny, tiny arms I don’t think it would look right but I fell in love with this “bat wing” shirt. It’s an unusual cut for a guy to wear and that’s why I love it. It’s unexpected and I really love ASOS for doing something a bit different with shirts for guys.
8)Longline Waistcoat. Seeing a lot of girls in these longline waist coast I was starting to wonder if I should buy a women’s one but I didn’t think the cut would fit properly having broader shoulders than most girls. However, looking through the men’s section on ASOS I found this perfect long-line waistcoat. It would be perfect to dress this up on a night out or dress it down the t-shirt and skinny jeans. It’s definitely a purchase I’m planning to get when I get paid!
So after I purchased an amazing Tartan Kimono from the reclaimed vintage section of ASOS and I had to show it off. So I thought what better way to showcase it then a runway style walk down the lane by my house. A follow-up video of my “Hello YouTube” which is in my previous post. I wanted the outfit to be a bit grungy so I threw on my trusted fedora hat and my creeper like shoes to tie the look together. Enjoy the video!
So as you guys know I’m trying to create a YouTube channel. After 2 to nearly 3 weeks of recording the same video I thought I better shorten the video down as it was boarding the 20 minute line. Now I’ve finally recorded the video and got it down to 7 minutes. It’s only a short video for you guys to get to know me on a more personal level. Its a little about me and why I started blogging. So finally here is the video…. Enjoy!

Yesterday evening I went out with my best friends, we haven’t seen each other in over 2 weeks which is unheard for us as we normally go out every Saturday. But due to birthday celebrations we haven’t seen each other. We went to the cinema to go and see Pitch Perfect 2. We love our cinema trips, buying huge amounts of popcorn and sweets. It was so good this time there was 25% off the pick and mix so we treated to ourselves to big bag of sweets. The film was so funny, fat Amy was the best character in that film by far, she was so funny. The songs they chose to sing also were on point. I swear half of my playlist was on there. One part of the film showed the rival a capella group singing and they had some amazing clothes on. I love the pleated short/skirt that they were wearing. I turned to my friend and asked if I was a bad person for actually liking their outfit. She just gave me this look of disappointment. After our cinema rendezvous we went around the corner to Chimichangas and had our normal meal that we have whenever we go. It’s a wonder the waitresses in there don’t know what we order already because of the amount of times we are there. Over our meal there was talk with my best friend of moving out and all the things we are going to do like different coloured mugs depending on what mood we’re in. So say when I wake up in the morning and I’m in a crappy mood I will indicate that with a red mug, I’ll then leave the red mug by the sink so my best friend knows what mood I’m in. I did say just write it on a blackboard instead as it’d be so much easier. But I’m excited that we’re talking about it more and actually getting around to looking for places and thinking decorative ideas. It’s exciting.
So for my outfit for the evening out I thought I’d showcase it a little differently in forms of Polaroids/Instax. So I wore my white shirt and my Zara tropical printed jacket with my black super skinny jeans and my creepers which I totally forgot that I had. I love my creepers, I really want to buy some white ones as they go with any outfit. I definitely felt like I was reppin the tropical vibe with this jacket. It definitely turned some heads but that doesn’t bother me. It made me feel so good.
So yesterday the 13/05/2015 I went to Birmingham with my lovely friend Tom and we shopped till we dropped. River Island had recently had a refurbishment and it looked amazing so I had to take some Polaroids for it as it looked so good! We went around all the shops first eyeing up what we wanted and liked within the Bullring and then we thought it was time for something to eat. So Pizza Hut it was for an all you can eat buffet. An hour and a half later after we’d eaten half of Pizza Hut Tom took me to Cow Vintage and The Custard Factory which is a place I’ve never been too in Birmingham. Just a 5-10 minute walk from the bullring and you enter vintage heaven with an array of vintage shops and quirky outlet stores. While in Cow Vintage I found a pair of Denim dungarees that were a small. I was umming and ahhing whether I should get them or not as I had a few dungarees. But I thought to myself that I didn’t have any full length dungarees that were denim. £24 later I walked away from Cow vintage with a pair of denim dungarees. After our little vintage haul we went to Costa and had a little sit down, had a drink and a little people watching session.
After we had a little moment to ourselves we went back into the Bullring and purchased all the things we wanted. I only wanted a jacket from Zara that I had seen on the internet and I was hoping it was there. As I walked in I saw nothing, but walking up the stairs onto the next level it was there waiting for me to be purchased. £59.99 down but I had the most beautiful jacket ever. I can’t wait to style it and put an outfit together. Overall it was a really lovely day and something different to what I normally do. From being sprayed with every mens fragrance e possible to sissying that walk around the bullring. A very much-needed shopping spree and all round lovely day!
One of my all time favourite designers and fashion icons are now taking the plunge into designing menswear. Henry Holland who is renowned for his unique, quirky and fun fashion for women. His much-loved fashion are worn by many celebrities such as the likes of Lily Allen, Alexa Chung and Katy perry. His first menswear collection has taken inspiration from youth culture and tribal uniforms, drawing on teddy boys casuals, buffalo kids and ravers. Pieces from the collection will be available for purchase at Selfridge’s in London where the presentation will be presented of a gallery exhibition, showcasing the clothes in conjunction of the work of photographer and photojournalist Martin Parr. As well as London Selfridges there will also be showcases at Opening Ceremony in New York, and the galeries Lafayette in Paris and Beijing.
I’m really excited about this collection, as all the influences sound so on par with what I love. It’ll be exciting to see how he keeps his brand identity within his menswear collection like he does with his womenswear. I love his use of slogans and bright colours along with his clashing of patterns, I for one will most certainly be a big fan regardless of what he showcases!
House of Holland has announced it will launch a men’s collection on June 14.
So from my previous post “Summer Wish list” you know I wanted to start buying brighter clothing as the summer months are upon us. I wanted a very tropical look. Taking a spontaneous trip in to H&M I walked past the womenswear section to get to the mens and I happened to see these trousers and they caught my eye. I wanted a pair very similar to them, which are on my wish list. However, the pair on my wish list are a jersey material and the pair that I’m wearing in my photos are more of a proper trouser material. I love the fit and I love the pattern on them with the different greens blending together. They’re a women’s size 8 but I think I could have got away with a 6 around the waist but not around the crotch area! Nonetheless they’re an amazing fit and I love them so much. I can’t seem to find them on the H&M website so keep an eye out in store, at £14.99 they’re a bargain! I’ve always wanted palm print trousers from when I first started getting into fashion and saw that Topman did them one year but I didn’t think I would pull them off. But H&M have proved me wrong! I teamed the trousers up with a simple white jumper I purchased on eBay for £5.99 along with my beige brogues I purchased from River Island a long time ago! I really enjoyed doing this photo shoot, I wanted to get creative and do something different to showcase the outfit and I’m very happy with the outcome.
So today I went out for a little catch up with the lovely Tom who is a very dear tumblr friend of mine. We’re like exactly the same person when it comes to taste in music as well as our whole aesthetic. We went for a coffee at Starbucks for a little bitching session as well as a catch up on life. After we finished our little bitching session we went on a lovely walk in the sunshine and had a photography session against a gorgeous floral bush. Equipped with our Instax and Tom with his Polaroid we thought it would be a fun photo session. The whole aesthetic of the photo session was very Lana Del Rey vibe coming from it and I thought what a perfect way to showcase my outfit that I had on. So the outfit I was wearing you might have seen before in a previous post when I went to Disneyland minus the roll neck as it was too warm for that. My Zara jacket looked in place with this floral background it just looked stunning. Teamed up with my new white sweatshirt which you will see again in another photo shoot I’m planning on Monday. The sweatshirt was purchased from Ebay for £5.99! We enjoyed out little photo shoot and we definitely are going to do more of them as we both love photography and fashion so it’s perfect!
So I’ve gone a little summer mad this time around for my perfect purchases. I’ve been looking at my wardrobe and thinking how it lacks in colourful items, So I’ve banned myself from purchasing anything dark and instead only getting items of clothing that are white or have colour on them. So let’s start….
My first purchase is my cropped tropical slacks as they are called. Purchased from H&M in the women’s section for a bargain price of £14.99. I went in to H&M to buy a totally different pair of trousers which are featured on my Wish list but I saw these and knew I just needed them. I purchased a size 8 thinking I’d most likely have to return them thinking I was too big for them but actually the size 8 is nearly right. It puckers just a little on the hips but if I went down to a size 6 there would be kinds of things on show! I’ve tried looking for them on the H&M website but I can’t seem to find them. However this amazing print is super summery and I can’t wait to wear them.
My next purchase was just a plain white jumper. Purchased from eBay for a steal of a price of £5.99. I just needed a plain white jumper to go with a few of my outfits I already have. It’s simple and effortless which is why I love it!
Everyone who knows me knows I love a pair of sunglasses and when I saw these white sunglasses on the £1 counter at H&M I couldn’t resist in purchasing them. They’re a simple and fun way to add something extra to my summery outfits without making them look dark.
My next purchase is yet another H&M bargain, from the menswear section this time. H&M have a basics range which is just basic t-shirts, hoodies and jumpers. The price range on these are just amazing, my t-shirt cost me £5.99 which something in Topman would cost around£20. It’s a perfect t-shirt for summer added with a pair of white or black shorts and my white sunglasses. Shop the T-shirt here.
My favourite purchase of them all has to be this t-shirt from Zara. It might of cost £19.99 but it was so worth it. I posted on my Wish List the other day a t-shirt very similar which I wanted for Zara. I went in to purchase that t-shirt and saw this pastel blue one and knew I had to have it. It was the start of my colour injection I need in my summer wardrobe. It’s a soft fabric and it’s a little big but because Zara don’t go down any smaller a small just gives me a little extra for an oversized look. I love the floral pattern with the “For Ever” writing that’s half been missed off. Shop the t-shirt here.
